From a young age Dave was interested in the escapist nature of myths, legends and fantasy tales and over time began telling similar stories of his own, finding outlets through storytelling sessions, writing, computer games, drama groups and eventually film. At first he learnt the trade by producing a number of short films, then, in early 2009 he made his directorial debut with the successful short film, The Hollow Girl, followed later that year by his first feature film, Shackled.

Ambrose grew up in the folklore-steeped countryside of the Cooley Peninsula where he developed an interest in filmmaking in his teenage years. Ambrose has been Squid Media Ireland’s resident cinematographer and sometime editor since its inception and is now the company’s main producer. Among his credits are the short film The Hollow Girl, for which he was nominated for Best Editing and Best Cinematography, and the feature film Shackled, which was completed in 2010.

Stephen has worked in a number of creative industries, but his main love is and always was writing. After acquiring a degree in art from Crawford College of Art in Cork, he started a job with Games Workshop, developing storylines in the fantasy universe and contributing to games manuals. Through out this time he would also write a lot of short stories and had a number of his films produced by Squid Media including The Hollow Girl. He is currently writing a novel and another feature length screenplay.

Born in Dublin in 1988, Ashling developed a love with films and filmmaking from a young age and studied film for four years at Dundalk Institute of Technology. Her ambition was to become a cinematographer, a role she embraced on a number of projects, including Shackled. When not working on personal projects however she works as often as she can as camera assistant on bigger projects such as Five Day Shelter , The Last Furlong and Behold the Lamb.

Martin Brannigan is a highly respected composer, songwriter, arranger and musician who, for over fifteen years, has written multi-platinum selling singles & albums and has arranged and performed on numerous hit records. Following the natural progression into scoring for Film, TV, Martin continues to develop his skills as a composer and continues to deliver the highest level of quality and excellence to each project.
